Robin Wood Tarot

This deck has standard, traditional meanings, vividly conveyed - and as such is a very good starter-pack, especially combined with the book Tarot Plain and Simple by Anthony Louis, which is based around this deck.

The artwork is pretty - IMO a little too pretty in the case of some of the Major Arcana cards, which border on the twee. But the pip cards are outstandingly vivid and full of action and meaning, and the drawing of human figures, faces and expressions is masterly.
