Requests should be specific: give as much detail as you can. Abuses of the kindness of these volunteers will probably cause them to withdraw their names so please don't ask for all references to a common name, or for time-consuming research

NOTE: When making a request, please indicate which item you would like to have looked up, e.g. 1881 Census Index for Hampshire, as many of the lookup volunteers do lookups for several counties and several items, and often they are not sure exactly which item you have in mind.
