Erected by Mrs Jean Buchanan of Auchmar Cottage in memory of her neice Janet Adam who died on the 31st January 1836 aged 31 Mrs Jean Buchanan widow of the late Andrew Buchanan Esquire of Auchmar Stirlingshire died 18th August 1862 aged 89 years
