Erected by John Hunter in memory of his children Mary Hunter died 23rd August 1848 aged 14 John Hunter died 1st April 1849 aged 20 years Robert Hunter died 24th April 1850 aged 17 years Peter Hunter died 6th June 1850 aged 19 also of eight who died in infancy Isabella Keith his wife died 31st July 1864 aged 67 years the above John Hunter died 5th Jan 1879 aged 80 years
