The fan, rug, glass and background come from a clip which originally showed an Alsatian dog (bizarrely mis-listed as a mouse!) sitting under the fan and holding the glass, whilst the rat is loosely adapted from a rat-silhouette. Art Today lists the source for the dog-with-fan as Broderbund3A: Animals01 (presumably a directory on a clipart CD), published by Broderbund, and for the rat silhouette as Old-Fashioned Silhouettes, published by Dover Publications. The artist is not given in either case.
