David Taylor owned and raced this P153 in 1973 to 1975. He has passed on the following message --- "It was an interesting time as I bought the rolling chassis for about £1500 from a friend of Tim Parnell who had been using the car as an exhibit. I think it was raced by Pedro Rodrigues in the 1970 season. I had a V12 BRM engine and Hewland gear box from a F1 Cooper which I had written off at Oulton Park during testing. We grafted the engine and Hewland gear box in to the P153 chassis and raced it quite succesfully for a couple of seasons. A young friend Kim Mather raced the car at many club events winning several races. I raced it occasionally and also did some sprints with the car. BRM works were very helpful providing engine rebuilds and many spares etc. I sold the car to Hexagon of Highgate a BMW garage in Hampstead, London in 1995. If you know of this car .......... I shall be grateful for your news."
Bobby Bell of the Lotus/Subaru/Saab/Isuzu dealer "Bell & Colville" is the current owner and occasional racer of P153/04. The car is expected to be out at Oulton Park in autumn 2002.
