Talking to Kimberley Cooper
Make way for Kimberley Cooper! This hot young actress is causing a sensation both in and out of Summer Bay. As Gypsy Nash, she's a teenage tearaway who somehow manages to stay the apple of her parents' eye. And as Kimberley - well, let's just say life is never dull when this ravishing redhead is around!We decided to get right to the heart of things and ask the winner of the 1999 Logie for Most Popular New Talent - just who is Kimberley Cooper?!
'I don't know,' Kimberley says, smiling, 'that's the question everyone's been asking for quite some time now. Who is Kim Cooper? It all started a number of years ago - shut up, Kim!'
But that wasn't much of an answer, so we pressed Kim further.
'I'm just plain and simply a freak of nature, that's the best way to describe me.'
There's not much you can say back to that! So we'll move right along now and ask this one-of-a-kind gal just how she came to be in Summer Bay. 'Turned left and turned right into Love Lane, right into Summer Bay,' Kimberley says, laughing. 'How did I get here? I auditioned and got the part and came here and went "groovy".'
The word 'groovy' is one of Kimberley's favourite things (at least for the moment), but what else rocks this effervescent young woman's world?
'Clothes rock my world,' Kimberley says firmly. 'Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Versace, Calvin Klein. What else rocks my world - good-looking men always rock my world now and then. Hair colours rock my world. Piercings rock my world.'
Piercings! Unlike the nose-ringed Justine (played by Bree Desborough), Gypsy is piercing free - or is there something we should know? Does Kimberley have piercings?!
'No,' she says, 'none of the above.'
And it turns out there are more favourite things she wants to share with us.
