UK members paying by Banker's Order - You already should have can-celled your 2000-2001 Banker's Order at your bank or they will have debited your account on 1st April. (Upper case for next sentence, please.) Kindly mail your new Banker's Order to the Treasurer (address on inside back cover) rather than dealing directly with your bank. I am then aware of each member's method of payment and it simplifies the bookkeeping!!
Overseas' members - The Society's bank has very generously agreed to accept cheques/money orders from the countries in which our members re-side (with the exception of those in Europe). We are very appreciative of this privilege and it is a great advantage to our members. Please ascertain the rate of exchange and mail an amount the equivalent of £9 or £11. The cheque or money order to be in the currency of your country and rounded up to the next dol lar.
The co-operation of all members would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
