To Enable windows 
    logon prompt 
  
    - In windows click start 
      run
- run regedit search 
      for autologon - and delete 
 
  To Disable windows 
    logon prompt
  
    - Enter an empty password, 
      as suggested in the box.
- In 'Control Panel | 
      Passwords | Change Windows Password...', leave the 'new password' boxes 
      empty.
- In 'Control Panel | 
      Passwords | User Profiles', check the 'All users of this PC use the same 
      preferences and desktop settings' box. 
Reboot, if above does 
    not disable prompt contuinue below.
  
    - Make the following 
      registry entries under the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Winlogon: 
      DontDisplayLastUserName="0" DefaultUserName="logon_id" DefaultPassword="logon_password" 
      AutoAdminLogon="1" WARNING!: any user will be able to find out your password 
      just by looking in the registry. 
- If you aren't connected 
      to any network (including the Internet), go to 'Control Panel | Network' 
      and uninstall all the network clients. Aditionally, if you have TweakUI 
      from Microsoft: In 'Control Panel | TweakUI | Network', check 'Log on automatically 
      at system startup' and enter a username and password in the boxes and in 
      'Control Panel | TweakUI | Paranoia', uncheck 'Clear last user at logon'. 
      
- Run REGEDIT, Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTNTVERSION\NETWORK\REAL 
      MODE NET registry key and delete Autologon = (x) where x = a number. Delete 
      key not the value.
