can only sit and weep for Kosovo,
and dying as troops gather round,
fleeing whilst bombing continues,
oh where can solutions be found?
creates a maelström of feelings,
the people to opposite poles,
the respect for life and liberty,
one striving to achieve their own goals.
one has a just cause to fight for,
one has God on their side,
and frightened in the midst of conflict,
still, search for a small place to hide.
people rise to the call of their bloodlust,
feeling pride in battles being fought,
all with the courage to confront their ideas,
make new victims to be hunted and caught.
I can only pray as the death count gets higher,
sanity will prevail over vengeful cries,
people will pause to reflect on their actions,
begin to think of peace as a prize.
thing gives hope as each conflict commences,
know that, once started, one day it will end,
seeking this outcome as factions grow closer,
we help old enemies call each other friend?
