\par

Every valley shall be raised up

\par \par

He is coming

\par \par

The mountains made low

\par \par

Hallelujah

\par \par

The ground shall be levelled

\par \par

He is coming

\par \par

He who is coming will come and won't delay

\par \par

Hallelujah

\par \par

And those who believe in him will be rescued

\par \par

For he is coming

\par \par

Hallelujah

\par \par

\par

Two millennia have passed

\par \par

He is coming

\par \par

Since the birth of our Christ

\par \par

Hallelujah

\par \par

Days passing into dust

\par \par

He is coming

\par \par

Awaiting his return

\par \par

Hallelujah

\par \par

We need to persevere

\par \par

Doing all his will

\par \par

He is coming

\par \par

We live in hope to receive

\par \par

The blessings of his word

\par \par

Hallelujah

\par \par

\par

In omnia tenebamus

\par \par

Dum Dominus nobiscum est

\par \par

Let these words precede us

\par \par

As we make manifest our pledge

\par \par

In omnia tenebo

\par \par

Dum Dominus mecum est

\par \par

The Messiah is my protector

\par \par

In whom by life will be forever blessed

\par \par

\par

We are not of those who shrink back

\par \par

Who falter and are destroyed

\par \par

He is coming

\par \par

We will join the nations

\par \par

Cradled in his hands

\par \par

Hallelujah

\par \par

Ready to give to the one who gave all

\par \par

He is coming

\par \par

The Alpha and Omega calling us at last

\par \par

He is coming... hallelujah

\par \par

\par

\par

In omnia tenebamus

\par \par

Dum Dominus nobiscum est

\par \par

Let these words precede us

\par \par

As we make manifest our pledge

\par \par

In omnia tenebo

\par \par

Dum Dominus mecum est

\par \par

The Messiah is my protector

\par \par

In whom by life will be forever blessed

\par \par

\par

No-one knows the day or the hour

\par \par

That he is coming

\par \par

No-one knows but our father in heaven

\par \par

But we will stand and wait by the door for the Lord

\par \par

For soon he'll be coming

\par \par

Ready to judge both the quick and the dead

\par \par

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

\par \par

Hallelujah, Amen, hallelujah

\par \par

The words of "Hymn for the Millennium" have been drawn from Isaiah Chapter 40, Mark 13,\par Hebrews 10 and Revelations 1, 20 and 22. In the lyric there is no intention to suggest that the\par second coming will be at the time of the ending of the second millennium AD rather saying\par that this event may be akin to the metaphor of the Holy Grail happening in the human heart\par with every rebirth and that Heaven can be created on Earth through the act of living in the way\par God intended. This concurs with Christ's own assertion that he will never leave us and that he\par has replaced the tablets of stone given to Moses with a new covenant imprinted on our hearts.
