The Aeolian Sky
is 5 miles off St Aldhelms Head and takes us about 35/40 minutes to get
there from Swanage. Although the wreck was cleared by explosives
down to 18m her holds are still stuffed with cargo. The total depth
to the seabed on this dive is 30m.

slightly better shape than she is now |
The Kyarra is without doubt
Dorsets' most popular wreck. Laying at a depth of 30m with the top
at 18m and only 3/4 mile off Anvil Point. This was a large vessel on
it's way to Sydney from Southampton and laden with cargo, when it was
torpedoed by a German submarine. Much of the cargo is still being
found including gold watches, perfume bottles, champagne, knives & forks
and much more.

Other dives
include drifting along Durlston Head - there are some good photographic
opportunities to be had amongst the huge boulders and fossils to be found
on the seabed, or drift along a bit further out at between 7m and 12m
across the mussel beds. Old Harry Rocks to Ballard Head is a good
safe dive with plenty of marine life at depths of 10 - 13m. With
Swanage Bay and Tanville Ledges the perfect first open water dive with
plenty of interest for other divers at only 7m.
