CLASS  MATHS WORKSHOPS FOR KS1, KS2 & KS3

The maths workshops are designed for single classes in the classroom

The workshops include solving puzzles, working out the maths behind card tricks etc all designed to enhance the curriculum and motivate pupils to developing a positive approach to mathematics.

They give pupils  opportunities in investigative maths that are fun and different. They involvechoosing the most appropriate maths, exploring patterns, recording results and handling data

Schools can choose the most appropriate areas of Maths for their workshops.
This will depend on the Key Stage, abilities and Areas of Interest. Sometime
more than one activity/area can be included in a session as tome permits

Investigative workshops, by their nature, will often encompass more than one
area of maths

TEACHER TRAINING   INSET

In November 2010 Swanhurst School, Birmingham invited Gerry to be a provider for an INSET  day on creative Maths and to present a Maths' Show for years 8 & 9. Scheduled for an hour the staff were still engrossed after 90 minutes, the maths leader declaring one of the best courses she had attended.
