It Never Happened
There are forty-five stories in this book. I like to think that they are off-beat, dark and humorous which is why I put that description on the front cover. As you can see, I have based the cover on the five ages of man - in this case: from mushroom to alien. A few story examples are:
- Adopt An Ant
- A few months ago, I decided that I needed to become more involved in the welfare of animals: three months ago, I adopted an ant.
The ant was called Martin. For one hundred and forty Kenyan shillings, the ant adoption agency (
www.adoptanant.ke ) told me that Martin was mine for a year, and kindly sent me a photograph of Martin in his natural habitat. He looked fairly happy, standing on the sand, next to the acacia tree, surrounded by thousands of other ants. - Autumn 1797
- The man from Porlock has come to fix the drains.
- Blood
- There's only so much evidence a small Jack Russel can dispose of.
- Crime
- The butler did it but where is the proof?
- It Never Happened
- Victor was a dreamer. A man with more going on in his head than there was going on in the world around him. A modern day fairy tale.
- Missing Maxine Peach
- The last time I saw Maxine Peach she was in a box. I didn't see her in the box - just the box... and then they buried it.
