Painting By Numbers was mijn derde verzameling korte verhalen. Deze is in juni 2019 gepubliceerd met een zorgvuldig ontworpen vooromslag die me minstens twee uur kostte om te maken (ik wist niet dat ik de verkeerde tint magnolia had gebruikt). Het besef dat ik nooit genoeg uithoudingsvermogen zou hebben om die sensationele, levensveranderende roman te voltooien, zorgde ervoor dat ik door de voorste korte verhalen bleef ploegen. De dertig donkere, humoristische, et cetera verhalen in dit boek gingen verder in hetzelfde/vergelijkbare thema als voorheen.

De winkels zijn in het Engels, waarvan ik weet dat het voor het grootste deel van de Nederlandstalige wereld geen problemen zal opleveren.
